CCB does not knowingly collect personal information from children. At the same time, it is the parent or guardian's responsibility to monitor their children's online activities.
The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, effective April 21, 2000, applies to online collection of personal information from children under the age of 13.
Any operator of a commercial website or an online service must comply
with the Act if:
• The website or online service is directed to children under age 13 and collects personal information from children; or
• The operator of a general audience website has actual knowledge that it is collecting personal information from children.
